Ethernet cable not appearing on PC, the cable works.

Changed my modem today and for some reason after i changed it my PC won’t detect the ethernet cable. Tried everything and i’m hopeless right now. Already ran pretty much all CMD commands related to IP address, already did many different configs and settings on the control panel and view internet connections and nothing worked. The cable does work because i’ve tried connecting to a router here in my house and it works. I highly doubt my network card is malfunctioning as it’s a relatively new pc and could be considered high end (for reference I have a asus rog strix b550-a gaming) I’m desperate for help.

Hello, I'm here to help.

I need to confirm some information.
Please open Device Manager, expand ""Network Adapters"" and take a screenshot.

Hi there! thank you for replying!

I can’t take the screenshot and send it from the PC because I can’t open the microsoft website. So i’ll just take a picture of the screen.

The one I use is the Intel Controller. Already tried disabling and reenabling, installing and uninstalling. Updating to a different version and then back to the current version. But nothing seemed to help. Thank you for your time!

It looks like the NIC is working fine.
What does it show in Settings - Network and Internet - Ethernet?

Hi! thank you for replying again!

Just to let you know, i’ve already figured it out, for some reason when swapping modems, on of the settings of the NIC changed to receive only 2.5gbps however in my house I have a cat5 cable and that is limited to 100mbps so when windows changed that setting to 2.5gbps the internet wouldn’t work and would not change automatically. Just ordered a new cat7 cable as well 😅

Thank you for the time and consideration!
