Error code 43: Device no longer recognised - USB compliant device.

Error code 43:

see screenshot of device manager and error code 43 window here

see screenshot of Window's message here

The device is an "Alesis VI49" midi keyboard. It is USB compliant and has been working on 3 different PCs for almost a year. However, this week it started becoming unresponsive unless I switched it off and on, and now is unrecognizable on the computer I need it to work on. I will call that PC, PC 1.

Important, the device is still powered via USB consistently, as the many LED lights on it remain on at all times.

PC 1 says - see screenshot here

I have contacted Alesis, and they asked me to try it with different cables, different USB ports and a different computer. I did that. It was recognised by a different computer and MIDI input was received. (using MIDI-OX application to see this input).

So I know, the device is sending information. But I also know that PC 1's USB ports are working 100% with other devices and powering the VI49, just not recognizing it to communicate with it.

Alesis say, the problem most likely is due to a faulty USB port, but all 4 ports on PC 1 work with every other device, and power the VI49. As it is class compliant, there is no drivers to reinstall. So I personally feel it must be something within windows. I just don't know what and how to fix it.

Within device manager - when I unplug/plug the device in, the window flashes as if it has recognised something being plugged in. But it only appears in that section occasionally. Majority of the times, it's not there.see screenshot of device manager window here

Please, if anyone can help. It would be very appreciated.

System specs (of PC 1): Windows 10 64 bit Processor AMD A10-4655M APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics Manufacturer AMD Speed 2.0 GHz Number of Cores 4 RAM 11 GB

TL;DR Alesis VI49 MIDI keyboard is no longer recognised by the PC I need it for. It is powered and PC's USB ports work fine, but Windows cannot recognise it or receive the inputs from it. Works on different computer. See screenshots linked at the top.

I have tried uninstall and reinstall. I have tried battery removal. I have tried system restore to 15 days ago, when it was working.

Did you install any backup programs like an Acronis program?

And do you use a USB hdd or something similar?

Programs like this will install their own driver to the upper/lower filters entries in the registry

Result usb ports will stop working

Dbl click on that first entry in device manager go to details tab. Look for upper class / lower class filter or something like that. Whats here?

Hi thanks for your reply. No programs such as that.

USB HDD - yes. I use one occasionally.

I have doubled click on what I presume you mean is the AMD USB (based on my original screenshot).

See below for new screenshot on what you questioned.
