Hi Rahul,

To assist you better I would appreciate if you could answer the following question:

When did this issue start? Did you make any recent changes to the computer before this issue started?

It appears that some important services which are required for Windows firewall to run properly is either corrupted or missing. I would suggest you to try these steps and check if it helps:

Method 1: I would suggest you to disable third-party Security Software.

If you have installed any third party Security Software on the computer it will come with the inbuilt firewall and the Windows Firewall will be disabled automatically.

a)      On your Computer screen Task Bar next to System Clock.

b)      You will see the third-party Security Software Icon.

c)       Click on the third-party Security Software Icon, you will see a pop up.

d)      In that pop and select the option to disable, click on it.

Now the third-party Security Software will be disabled.

Important Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you shouldn't disable your antivirus software. If you have to temporarily disable it to install other software, you should re-enable it as soon as you're done. If you're connected to the Internet or a network while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Method 2: Stop and start the Base Filter Engine Firewall service and also check the dependency services.

a)      Press Windows key + R on the keyboard.

b)      Type “Services.msc” and open it.

c)       Search for “Windows Firewall”.

d)      Right click on “Windows Firewall “and click “Restart”.

Also check if all the dependencies are also running. Try the steps to check Dependencies.

a.       Right-click on "Windows Firewall “and select "Properties."

b.      Click on "Dependencies", you will find all the dependency services under box labeled “This

service depends on the following system components.”

Method 3: Restore the Firewall and check;

a)      Press Windows key + W on the keyboard.

b)      Type Windows Firewall and click Enter.

c)       On the lift hand side click on Restore Defaults.

d)      Click on Restore Defaults.

e)      Click Yes button.

If you need further assistance regarding Windows, please feel free to post. We will be happy to help you.
