need help in activating windows.

i was using cmd prompt and kept trying many commands like slmgr etc in order to activate windows. well none of them helped and i noticed the error codes and the product id were changing.so i browsed through the net and found a solution just after i posted this question. and here it is .. thanks for your help.

when i bought the pc it was new and it came with a physical copy of windows. after a couple of years windows got deactivated (i dont know how) and when i searched for the cd(physical copy) it was misplaced. after using windows without being activated for about a year now i have finally activated it . thnx

Hi DEATH,

I am really glad you found a solution, however, that solution is temporary and will only work for a wile, you are still activated with a volume licence and that will eventually expire, because the underlying licence is not correct.

Hi DEATH,

If your Windows 10 does expire in the future, you will need to either purchase a Windows 10 licence to activate Windows 10, or contact the retailer you purchased that PC from and have them provide you with a correct licence free of charge.
