What application you are trying to update and when did you downloaded the file to update?

For the meantime you can try the steps mentioned here in this thread, then try to update the software.

Good day Carlo,

Thank you for your quick response.

I was trying to update the Dell Power Manager but it could not proceed because of Error 1720. I was downloading this last May 26 and made further attempts until today, but the same result.

I tried the steps in the link thread you provided, and was trying to look for this: msiexec.exe in the Task Manager (Details) but I couldn't find it.

The problem is still there.

Hi Carlo

I downloaded the Microsot Program_Install_and_Uninstall, and tried to unistall the Dell Manager Service but it is not included in the list. I tried Others but now I am being asked to enter Product Code. Can you help me - what is this referring to and where do I find it.

Thank you

Good Day MGlen,

I appreciate your time getting back to this thread, what product code you are referring too? have tried to reach out to Dell about the said application?

Are you able to successfully install the app from the Microsoft Store using the link I posted?

Have a wonderful day ahead and stay safe.

I think I was successful in downloading the program to install and uninstall. I tried to use it to first unistall the dell service manager, but it could not find this in the drop down list.

I have previously approach the vendor but I was told to just wait until Dell updates it with new program.

Hi Carlo,

Just wanted to share this that the Error 1720 that appears whenever I tried to update the Dell Power Manager has been resolved, and I was also able to re-install the Dell Power Manager.

I tried the solution that was posted in the Dell Community and apparently the problem is tied to the running program HP Print and Scan Doctor. As advised, I simply ended the task (through the Task Manager), and after doing so I was able to re-install the Dell Power Manager.

Thank you for your patience and help.
