Error 1305 in windows 7 when trying to install downloaded programs/updates.

  • Windows updates, itunes updates, java updates, all abort with Error 1305... Error 1305. Error reading from file C:\Users\Nadine\AppData\Local\Temp\IXP934.TMP\QuickTime.msi.  System error 0. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.=== Logging stopped: 12/26/2010  15:35:58
  • Ichecked the windows installer, un installed the previous versions, made sure I run programs as admin, check apple and java websites no help.

Check this location: “C:\Users\Nadine\AppData\Local\Temp\IXP934.TMP\QuickTime.msi”. Please delete the IXP934.TMP location. You may have to take ownership of the location prior to deleting. Follow these steps to take ownership:

a. Right-click the file that you want to take ownership of, and then click Properties.

b. Click the Security tab, and then click OK on the Security message (if one appears).

c. Click Advanced, and then click the Owner tab.

d. In the Name list, click Administrator, or click the Administrators group, and then click OK.

Removing this may resolve the issue. This is the origin of the corruption.
