error 0x80190194 with Mail & Calendar App on Windows 10 Adding a Yahoo Email

hi, been having this issue randomly over the past... maybe 2 years or so. unsure how the all other instances started except for a few, one of them happened from just updating windows, another was updating the mail app, one happened because i changed an email account's password, and yes, it's NOT always the yahoo account.
here's what's going on...
trying to add my yahoo email since i JUST reformatted/re-installed windows 10 on my PC a couple hours ago and just got done installing and updating everything. went to add my email's to the app as i usually do, for yahoo i have the "account key" thing which works fine(yes even turned that off and tried). this time after hitting the "maybe later" button for permissions by accident instead of the "accept" button , it's since then didn't add nothing, and nothing happened, got an email on my yahoo that it signed in. went to try and add it again since the yahoo account doesn't show at all and instead i get the error. it's like the yahoo mail is signed in, but nothing shows related to the account and so i'm unable to remove it. i have uninstalled the app many times and quite a few different ways, did the app reset which doesn't actually reset anything it seems, especially needed for this other than reloads emails from my other email accounts that i'm able to delete and re-add just fine. i have yet to come across ANY fix for this except reformatting and reinstalling windows, which... for a simple app... no. already did that twice in the past. i don't know what i can delete to fully reset this app so i can re-add my emails since i was testing with one of my other emails and EVERYTHING to do with it stays with all these uninstalls and resets...
ways I've "uninstalled" the app... normally, CCleaner, IObit's uninstaller WITH removing residual files, 3 or so different ways of uninstalling it through CMD/PowerShelll, even adding things that's suppose to fix it through CMD and a few other ways... I've even gone into safemode and done a few of the things with no differences.  it seems to be leaving stuff behind that makes this unable to be fixed or something, found MANY post's and forums about this with many of them locked, yet, unresolved related to this app...
I've even gone into my yahoo account and signed out of everything to give that a try and not difference.

other notes. the account i'm trying to sign in with is also my account i use for windows login and is digitally signed with the same account. so unsure if that's a related some how to this issue.

if there is a fix for this else where, sorry, i haven't found it as I've only found post's about it since windows 10 was out, and recent that were all locked and seems like all of them were never resolved and re-installing windows should NOT be the answer to this... means something needs to be fixed with windows or the app or something. sadly, i'm not the only one who's had issues with this in the past, i just get it a lot because i reformat every so often.
i will have a screen shot of the error window that shows up EVERY time i try to add my yahoo account, BUT with every attempt, my email also get's a email saying it signed in...
Update:

Ok, out of the blue i just checked this to see if any reply came through yet, then went and double checked the "mail" app. all of a sudden in the start menu it showed "New" under it like it was installed or updated... which... i didn't notice anything updating it. so... i said screw it and loaded it up and tried signing in my yahoo like normal... well, it worked out of the blue. so if anyone else is having this currently, go ahead and give it a try. the only things I've done since writing this also was i installed a couple games. about it. i was also an ass about it on giving a review on it in the store to make them pay attention to this "years" old issue...

so... my CURRENT issue is now resolved. but not sure if it was "silently" attended to...

hopefully this was an actual update that resolved the issue or updates to the app is the only fix as that has happened once before, now that i remember. but if other's are having the same issue still, don't be afraid to speak up, especially since I've seen quite a few already click on the "I Have The Same Question" button.

I'm on Windows 10 (1909) with the latest updates both for Windows and the Microsoft Store, including the Mail & Calendar app, and i had the same problem as of today.

However I've found a workaround:

  1. First, on your Yahoo account, under account settings and security, create a password app.
  2. Then on the Mail & Calendar app, when adding the mail account, instead of choosing "Yahoo", choose "POP3/IMAP" and enter your email address and the password previously created.

You might not even need to create a password app if you don't have 2 step authentication enabled, but as i do, that's what i did.

I think there is something broken either on the Mail & Calendar app or on Yahoo's side, and by choosing "Yahoo" to connect it obviously uses a specific login system. But by using POP3 or IMAP, nothing can go wrong as long the servers are up and running.

Anyway that's how i got it to work, so i just posted this in case that could help. The problem will probably be fixed, but I've found using Yahoo quite glitchy on the Mail app, so i'll probably use that way as for now.
