Hello,

Hope you are doing well. Right click on My Computer -->>Click on Manage -->> Device Manager. On the right side, find the marked option in the picture.

If you did not find it, it means your DVD is disconnected or damage. In this situation, you need to buy a new DVD drive. If it's showing you, then open the disk management, right click on your DVD drive. Click on change drive letter and assign a drive letter. Press ok.

Thanks

Dear LUCKY-SINGH,

Thanks for reaching out! I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you. I will be happy to assist you in this regard.

Since April 8, 2014, Microsoft ended security updates or provided technical support for the Windows XP operating system. Therefore, The DVD driver might has driver incompatibility issue with Windows XP.

Did the DVD drive work with Windows XP?
Go to Control Panel > Device Manager > Navigate to DVD driver and check if there is a exclamation mark on it or not?

However, to troubleshoot this issue try this steps below:
1-Try to check if the DVD driver well connected with the PC or not.
2-Check the manufacturer's website for compatible driver.

Please let me know if you need further assistance and keep me updated.
Sincerely,

Dyari Barham
