Dropbox - sync only specific files but view all

Surface Pro 3 - installed regular Dropbox from Dropbox.com - not the app from windows store!

Using my Surface with 250G Disk, I do not want to sync all my 40GB Dropbox like I would on a regular machine with Terabytes of Disk space.

I am aware that I can partially disable syncing on certain folders - but this makes them INVISIBLE too...

IDEALLY - I could SEE ALL my content in all my Dropbox-folders, and selectivly sync only needed files.

Possible?
