Downloading trouble

I am trying to download an app/file  to access my employers website.  While downloading I recieve the following message:  "Unable to retrieve application files  Files corrupt in deployment".  How can I fix this issue?

To resolve this issue, install the .NET Framework 4. The following file is available for download from the Microsoft Download Center:

Download the .NET Framework 4 package now.
