Dolby Vision and HDR10+ are not available while displaying HDR content, although all settings seem correct.

I have tried several content, including games and videos in Dolby Vision, but when I connected my laptop to Dolby Vision supported TV via hdmi 2.1 cable, all the content displayed as HDR but not HDR10+ or Dolby Vision. Same content works just fine when displaying from usb. Laptop is HP Victus with Windows 11. The graphic card is GeForce RTX 4050. Dolby Vision is activated on Windows settings and Dolby Access. There seems to be no problem here. I have also installed Dolby Vision extension. I tried different media players including Windows's media players. By the way, there is no problem with Dolby Atmos.

Hello BayaDM and welcome to the Microsoft Community!

Based on your feedback, you are experiencing issues with Dolby Vision and HDR10+ not being available when displaying HDR content!

Even though you are using an hdmi 2.1 cable, the transmission bandwidth is not enough!

You can try replacing the DP cable to see if that solves the problem.

Because I had a similar experience myself

When using hdmi to connect to the computer, it caused the monitor screen to be corrupted and the frame rate could not be improved.

Replacing the dp cable solved the problem for me.

If you have a dp cable you can try it.

I hope you find the above information helpful.
