Hello Debbie,
Thank you for responding! Regarding your question(s), my home network consists of 1 PC (Windows 7, 64bit OS), 1 Router (Netgear wireless, model WNDR37AVv1),
and 2 LG LG Blu-ray Players ( model BD670 WiFi Built-in). The ‘network’ is working just fine except when I try to access my PC from the LG units. As I’ve stated before, the PC is listed as a network connected device, however, when I select it, the ‘CIFS Signin’
screen appears.
Now, since I first encountered this CIFS Wall (if you will), I’ve tried entering my PC login / PSWD, didn’t like that. As suggested on one of the forums, I’ve created a guest user ID & PSWD on my PC and tried logging into CIFS using the guest ID / PSWD,
didn’t like that either. There were some other suggestions regarding ‘Windows Live Essentials 2011’ & ‘Windows Live ID Sign-in Assistant 6.5’, some said to install these apps, others suggested removing them, personally, I did neither.
I hope this helps you, if you need any further info, let me know…. Thanks Again!
