Hey Guys,
Since a few weeks after a router change I have to fight with Internet problems.
The problem is: The DNS isn't responding.
It is shown that I have Internet (so not a yellow triangle or sth like this), but it does not work. When I reconnect the Internet then it will work for a few seconds and then again not. And when I do a troubleshoot the following sentences appears:
The computer appears to be configured correctly, but the device or resource (primary DNS server) does not respond. determined
Contact the network administrator or Internet service provider (ISP). Completed
No communication with the device or the resource (primary DNS server) is possible. The desired computer or service may be temporarily unavailable. If the device or resource is nearby and you have access to it, make sure it is on and connected to the network.
Currently I have an o2 Homebox 6641 and use a FRITZ! WLAN USB Stick AC 860. Before I had an o2 router, but not the Homebox.
I have already tried the following solution methods to solve the problem:
- Router turned off and restarted
- disable firewall
- Other browsers tested
- Internet Protocol version 4 (TCP / IPv4): IP address, subnet mask, default gateway and DNS server entered manually
- Command prompt: ipconfig / flushdns, ipconfig / registerdns, ipconfig / release, ipconfig / renew entered
None of this has solved the problem completely. Only by entering Commands sometimes I had internet for a few hours.
You probably need more information to help me, but because I do not know what you need and do not want to pack any further unnecessarily information here, you can simply write what information you need.
I hope you can help me to solve the problem.
Best regards
DaFe
