dllhost.exe virus or bug?

Please help.

I'm having an issue similar to others where dllhost.exe is running multiple times and using memory.  Simultaneuos to this event the Internet Explorer security settings get changed to custom settings.   I reset the security settings back to default and use task manager to end the multiple processes and the system returns to normal.  I've run McAfee, Malwarebytes and SuperAntiSpyware, no issues.  I unistalled IE 10 and KB2670838.  The cylcle just keeps repeating itself every few minutes (mult processes and changed security settings).  I wish McAfee and Microsoft would band together to figure this out.  I'm scheduled for a reinstall tomorrow but would prefer to avoid that.  Any advice is appreciated.  Thanks.

Good job! McAfee is causing a lot of errors, as you can see below. Run the McAfee uninstall tool, linked below, then download and install Microsoft Security Essentials.

When you are done, visit windows update and search for and install any available, important updates.

MS Security Essentials found no issues.   However, the problem still occurs.  When my IE Security settings get changed it prevents me from downloading any docs.  Whatever this is is frustrating for sure...  I'm going to take a wild swing and uninstall Adobe programs next (after I end the extra processes).

Adobe Air, Flashplayer and Reader uninstalled.

Before uninstalling adobe, the processes looked like this in task manager:

Image Name       User Name

dllhost.exe

dllhost.exe *32    Admin

dllhost.exe *32    Admin

dllhost.exe *32    Admin

and so on...

Now the first instance with no username is not displaying.   Prior, I could not see properties for the first process but all subsequent processes with the *32 came from the Windows/SysWOW64 directory.

Subtle difference but the bottom line is its still an issue.

Task manager shows multp processes including the first instance. Not sure why that one didn't show up last night.

I have a suspicion that this issue might be Malware related. Just to be sure it is not, I would suggest that you post your question in the forum linked below.
