Problems with printer not connected when trying to print
The printer displaying “Not Connected” may be caused by a driver problem or incorrect connection settings.
You can try the following methods:
1) Reboot the device:
Restart the printer and computer device, sometimes this can solve the connection problem.
You can try to re-recognize it
2) Update or reinstall the driver:
Visit HP official support website to download the latest driver.
Click the windows key, search and open the device manager, right click on the printer and select “Update Driver”.
Select “Update Driver” or “Uninstall Device”, then reinstall the latest driver.
3) Check the printer port settings:
Open “Devices and Printers”, right-click on your printer and select “Printer Properties”.
Go to the “Ports” tab and make sure you have selected the correct port (e.g., USB port or network port).
4) Run a printer troubleshooter:
Open “Settings” > “Update and Security” > “Troubleshooting” > “Printers” and run the Troubleshooting tool to automatically detect and fix the problem.
5) Reset printer settings:
Some printers offer the option to reset network settings or restore factory settings, so you can try resetting the printer settings and then reconfigure the connection.
This aspect of the relevant settings, we recommend that you look at the instructions for your printer
Or contact HP support to take a look.
We hope you find the above information helpful and have a great day!
