Hello, lena kacprzak
Welcome to the Microsoft community.
Thank you for your feedback. You are experiencing an issue where the XP-Pen 16 Artist Pro tablet device driver does not load correctly after upgrading to Windows 11, resulting in an abnormal screen display. The error log indicates that the device settings were not migrated from the previous OS installation. This usually means that the driver or device has compatibility issues with the new operating system. Here are some troubleshooting options:
Method 1: Reinstall the XP-Pen driver
Uninstall the existing driver:
Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
Locate your XP-Pen device in Device Manager (it may be under “Monitors” or “USB Controllers”).
Right-click on the device and select “Uninstall Device”. Make sure the “Remove driver software for this device” option is checked.
Download and install the latest driver:
Go to the official XP-Pen website to download the latest Artist Pro 16 device driver.
Install the driver and follow the prompts to complete the installation.
After the installation is complete, restart your computer.
Method 2: Compatibility Mode Driver Installation
If installing the driver directly still can't solve the problem, you can try to install the driver in compatibility mode.
Download the driver installation file (from the official XP-Pen website).
Right-click on the installation file and select “Properties”.
In the properties window, select the “Compatibility” tab.
Check “Run this program in compatibility mode” and select Windows 10 or another version compatible with your device.
Click “Apply” and confirm.
Run the installation file as administrator to complete the driver installation.
Method 3: Use old hardware compatibility options
Open the Control Panel:
Press Windows + R, type control and press Enter.
Select “Devices and Printers”.
Click “Add Device”:
Select “My device is not listed” and click Next.
Select “Add legacy hardware manually” and follow the wizard to finish adding devices.
If none of the above methods solves the problem, we recommend contacting XP-Pen's technical support team for assistance. They may have some specific solutions or patches for Windows 11.
I look forward to your feedback, which will help me pinpoint your problem.
Best Regards,
