"Device not started" under events in the device manager

Hi

in the device manager under events, windows tells me about my uhd 630 "device not started (igfx)". This is the error:

" Problema di avvio del dispositivo PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_9BC8&SUBSYS_7C751462&REV_03\3&11583659&0&10.

Nome driver: oem7.inf

Servizio: igfx
Filtri inferiori:
Filtri superiori:
Problema: 0x0
Stato problema: 0xC00000E5"

windows tells me the same about my network adapter:

"device not started ( rt640x64)"

Problema di avvio del dispositivo PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8125&SUBSYS_7C751462&REV_04\4&28bd9fe6&0&00E4.

Nome driver: oem35.inf

I uninstalled the drivers of the network adapter and windows recovered an older one. Using this driver, windows tells me the device is started. As soon I install a more recent driver from my board manufacture, using the manual installation and search through the device manager, the device become not started again.

Why is that? Windows tells me both devices "work correctly" and they apparently work fine without issues.

I have windows 10 pro 64 bit 21h1. My motherboard is an msi z490-a pro, my cpu is an intel i5 10400, I use the igpu uhd630 ( I don't have a discrete graphic card at the moment) and my network adapter a realtek rtl8125 2.5gbe family ethernet controller.

Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you get Device not started message for Intel and Network drivers on your computer. I’ll certainly assist you with the issue.

However, please let us know the make and model of the computer.

As you have mentioned that installing an older driver doesn’t give the same error message, it could be possible that the latest drivers are not fully compatible with the current version of Windows installed on the computer.

One of the things you may want to try is check if there is any BIOS update available. However, we recommend that you check with your motherboard manufacturer regarding BIOS update.

Note: Modifying BIOS/ complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) settings incorrectly can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from booting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting from the configuring of BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Modifications of the settings are at your own risk.

Let us know how it goes.

Regards,

Nikhar Khare

thank you for your answer.

I'm not really sure what you mean with the "model and maker of the pc", I assume you're talking about prebuilt or notebooks, but I assembled the pc by myself.

my pc has a msi z490-a pro, i5 10400, 2x8gb crucial ballistix ram, samsung 970 evo plus.

My bios is updated and I'm using the 29 version which is the last one downloaded from here.
