1. Open File Explorer, on your keyboard press Windows + E.
2. On the left pane, click This PC.
3. Right-click the C: drive where Windows 10 is installed, and select Properties.
4. Click the Disk Cleanup button.
5. Check the Thumbnails option, and uncheck all the other options.
6. Click OK.
7. Click Delete Files to confirm and to complete the task.
8. Restart your PC and check.

Method 2: If the issue still persists it may be that something messed up with your folder settings.

1. Open File Explorer, on your keyboard press Windows + E.
2. Click on the View tab.
3. Click Options to open Folder Options.
4. Click on the View tab.
5. Make sure to clear the checkmark for the Always show icons, never thumbnails option.
6. Click Apply.
7. Click OK to complete the task.
8. Restart and check.

Method 4: Re-register Windows Apps

Run the powershell command with administrator rights

1. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del on your keyboard > Select Task Manager or Right-click on your Windows Taskbar > Select Task Manager
2. In Task Manager click File > Run New Task > A window will appear.

3. Make sure that there is a CHECK on the box beside Create this task with Administrator Privileges > Type powershell > Press Enter

4. In the Admin Powershell window, type or copy the command below and press Enter:

Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

5. Let the command run for a few minutes, you should see a lot of details or letters with red color. This is normal. Once it finishes, just close the powershell window.

6. Restart and check.

Method 5: Run SFC with administrator rights in Command Prompt

a. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del on your keyboard > Select Task Manager or Right click on your Windows Taskbar > Select Task Manager

Type the following command in the Command Prompt window

d. Press the Enter key to execute the program
e. It may take a few minutes to a half-hour for completing the SFC scan. After the process is finished, it should say Verification 100% complete and the SFC scan reveals if it found any corrupted files and informs you about the repairs.

I hope that the steps mentioned would work in your favor. Let me know how it goes. Stay safe!

Method 6: Run ScanHealth and RestoreHealth in Command Prompt

a. Once scannow finishes running in the command prompt, copy these lines one by one and press Enter after each command. Let each command run. Should reach 100% on the progress bar.

DISM /online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

b. Wait until the procedure ends (it might take up to 10 minutes depending on your system).

Method 7: Perform a repair upgrade on your computer.

Hi GreenEthan,

My apologies for the late response. Kindly skip the first method, my mistake as I remembered that your file explorer is having issues. Did the other methods work to your favor?

Let me know how it goes. Have a good day,
