Hello,

Thank you for your interest in Windows 10.

This issue might occur due to outdated drivers. You may download the driver for the printer from the support website of Dell and if it is not available for Windows 10, download it for Windows 8.1 and install it in compatibility mode.

Refer (Make older programs compatible with this version of Windows)

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-8/older-programs-compatible-version-windows

Note: This link also applies to Windows 10.

Hope this information is helpful. Please do let us know if you need further assistance with Windows, we’ll be glad to assist you.

Thank you

Regards,
Sahil Bali

Hi,

I have the same printer and obviously the same problem. There is no Windows 8.1 driver either, the newest driver is Windows 7 and that works on Windows 7, 8 and 8.1.

I can't get it to work with Windows 10 though. If I install it in Compatibility mode (any Windows version) the printer doesn't show up, if I just install the driver without using Compatibility mode there's no printer either.

If the printer is installed via Windows 10 Settings/Add a printer or scanner the printer starts but the display panel indicates it's out of paper

I just got the 1320C to work with Windows 10.

I installed the 1320C using the Settings/ Add a printer and the driver installed was for a 1320c HBP. So I went to Control Panel / Devices and Printers / Right click on the printer and select Printer Properties / Advanced Tab / New driver and go down to Dell Inc, there you will find the 1320C driver (not the HBP) and it works

I do not see the driver for 1320c even after refreshing the driver listing.  I wonder if it is a geographical thing?

Try installing the Windows 7 driver from the Dell website and see if it appears then.

Also, I'd missed out a step in my solution above so install the Windows 7 driver and go through the edited steps above again

Right, here's how to install the correct Windows 7 1320c driver if the HBP version isn't working for you.

Go to this Dell web page and download the 1320c driver ( 1320c_DRV_ENG_01-01-05-00_01-01-05-00.exe )

http://www.dell.com/support/home/ed/en/eddhs1/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=R244482

Run the 1320c_DRV_ENG_01-01-05-00_01-01-05-00.exe file and unpack the driver to a convenient place on your hard drive

Install the printer driver that Windows 10 offers you (the 1320c HBP version) then go to Control Panel / Devices and Printers / Right click on the printer and select Printer Properties / Advanced Tab / New driver / Next / Have Disk and browse to the place you have the unpacked driver then click through folders 1320c_DRV_ENG_01-01-05-00_01-01-05-00 / English / Drivers / and then select either the 64 bit folder (win_x64) or the 32bit folder (win_x86) and select the dlhsnzi.inf file , click on Open then OK , Next and Finish.

After the driver installs, in the 'Add Printer Driver Wizard' in the left column 'Manufacturer' you should see listed Dell but also 'Dell Inc.' and if you select Dell Inc. you will see the 1320c driver (not the HBP version) appear in the right column, highlight the driver and finish the wizard.

This allows the 1320c to work on Windows 10, I've now installed it on 3 64bit PC's

Hi Barry,

Were any of these installs to a networked version of the 1320?  I managed to get the driver installed but it keeps saying the device is offline. No amount of prodding helps.  Have had to keep a Windows 7 box on the network and share the Dell via it.

With the c1320 HBP driver - just change the "auto tray" to "tray 1". Should work
