Method 1: There is no explicit way to remove an obsolete computer name from the network. The name might automatically go away after you restart the computer.
Method 2: You may follow the below steps and check if issue resolves –
a.Right click in the
Start Button and select Command Prompt (Admin).
b.At the command prompt, type the following command, and then press
ENTER:
ipconfig /flushdns (there is a space between ipconfig and / )
It will show the message successfully flushed the DNS resolver cache.
c.At the command prompt, type the following command, and then press
ENTER:
ipconfig /registerdns (there is a space between ipconfig and / ).
