Definition Update for Microsoft Security Essentials - KB2310138 (Definition 1.129.1713.0) will not install

No matter how many times I try to install this update in Microsoft Updates,I guarantee it wil return the same day later? I've intalled it over & over but still it reappears,so can anybody help me here please,thank you.

This is perfectly normal - the definitions are updated two or three times a day, and the new version becomes available soon after and is then available for download through WU or the application.

What does MSE say about its status in the Update tab??

So long as the Definitions are dated within the past 48 hours, everything is normal.
