If System File Checker does not find anything, try updating or re-installing DirectX.
- If the file is actually missing the DirectX Web Installer will install a new one -
Download DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer from Official Microsoft Download Center
If the file is corrupt, and not fixed by SFC, reinstall DirectX using the full installer package.
This will replace all DirectX files with new ones ( except DX12) -
Download Details - Microsoft Download Center - DirectX Redist (June 2010)
- Or, because you know the name of the file, if you find this file in either
Windows\System32, or Windows\sysWOW64,
you can delete the file and the Web installer will replace it with a new one.
