Most of the time this may be occured due to removal of malware/adware by an antivirus but not removing startup entry .. (Yet, Scanning using malwarebyte is a good idea http://www.malwarebytes.org/free/
)
But you may need to remove it through start up or other means..
(1) if there is anything related to the .dll u you have described here , at system tray start up disable it ..
http://www.pcandtablet.com/windows-7-tutorials/1343/how-to-disable-a-startup-entry-in-system-tray-task-bar-in-windows-7-a.html
http://www.pcandtablet.com/windows-8-tutorials/1340/how-to-disable-startup-items-from-windows-system-tray-in-windows-8-a.html
or
try to use "Autoruns for Windows" and check whether there is a startup entry related to the .dll u you have described and if so remove it..
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902
If you look it, it should be under this in yellow colour
In case if you can't find it using aforementioned methods, this could be under
taskschedule===>task scheduler library . If found delete the entry related to ftphost.dll from task scheduler library
or
you may use regedit.. Press windows R key and type regedit and click ok.. (before editing export the key your are going to edit or delete)
then navigate to these paths..
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]
then look for .dill file you have described here and delete that key.. REBOOT
