Hi Chiso Nwachukwu,
Welcome to Microsoft Community.
We understand the frustration of experiencing unusual cursor, keyboard behavior with your device.
The situation you are experiencing may indicate an underlying process conflict, or a problem with internal circuitry that is not easily observed directly.
If possible, would you mind sharing more information about this issue with us?
- Is the situation a recent phenomenon? Or has it existed for a long time?
- Were there any special events in the device before the situation first occurred? For example, system update, driver update, application update, BIOS update, firmware update?
- Are there any components in Device Manager that are in an abnormal state? In the search box on the taskbar, type device manager, then select Device Manager from the menu. In Device Manager, check device that has the problem.
- Is the situation the same when you observe it in a relatively clean environment (for example, safe mode)? Windows startup settings - Microsoft Support
If the driver is in a faulty state, you may want to try to see if a different version of the driver will exhibit the same behavior, such as the touchpad driver version when you first used the device.
If safe mode exhibits the same random cursor/random key behavior, it may mean that there may be some physical failure in the internal circuitry connected to the keyboard.
If I misunderstand your situation, feel free to correct me and share the information.
Best Regards,
