this update sucks.

I can no longer use Cortana to create a calendar entry. she says "there are no devices I can control" like WFT ? I only used cortana to set timers, alarms and calendar entries.

Is there a bug fix for this ? She wont open the app or Google. Nothing. What sort of a device would she be looking for ?

Where do I find the fix for password autofill? It stopped, started again & stopped again. User ID's & Passwords are not auto-filling nor is saving them again working.
The keyboard on my laptop no longer works since the update

I've tried to install this update a couple of times but it caused some boot issues. Is anyone else having trouble with it?

Any ideas for why this has happened ? Is it possible to be related with the recent updates ?

Martin,

This update won't install by default except:

  • Your computer is enrolled in Release preview ring of the Windows Insider program.
  • You installed the update manually using optional updates menu.

If both of those don't apply, start a new question. Otherwise uninstall the update.

I just did the new 10 update and lost everything on my desktop.

After I installed this update on 2/27/2020, I noticed that the "System" process in task manager was hammering my SSD with disk writes. I also noticed that 120 GB of additional disk space was used. The disk usage in task manager was 100%, writing at a rate of 1.5 GB/s. I left it for a few hours thinking it would stop. 6 terabytes written later (!!!), and I uninstalled the update. The writes to disk immediately stopped, and the 120 GB that was used was freed. Beware of this update, as it significantly shortened the lifespan of my very expensive 2 TB SSD.
The latest Microsoft update has caused my audio to stop working.  This is not the first time an update has caused a problem with my pc.  If updates continue to cause problems with my pc, I will want to refuse additional updates. HELP me restore my sound!

Another problem with the update regarding the notebook> message after the update> currently no login to my account (Microsoft account) possible, so I am in a temporary account. I should log out and log in with my account details! All attempts failed. Recovery-WoW 10 Pro, version 1909, newly installed!

From now on, I will suspend all available MS updates for several days and wait and see if there will be any problems.
