I updated Windows 10 because of some forced update and post that all my files, documents are missing from desktop and elsewhere. I could just find some random files in recycle bin! help needed ASAP

As I posted earlier:

Normal advice for a temp profile is to restart 4 times before doing anything else.

At the sign-in screen select Power > Restart (bottom right hand) do this 4 times before signing in as normal.

If the account is not restored the open File Explorer and expand This PC > C:\ > Users do you see a temp folder, if so you are still signed in with a temporary profile. Find the folder with the user name and look at the Document, Picture etc. folders are the files there.

If so copy the files to a safe place and not the temp profile. An external drive would be the safest, the temp profile will be removed at every shutdown.

If you cannot sign-in to your normal account then creating a new local account is the safest way forward. Once you have signed in to the new account you can switch to a Microsoft account if you wish and copy the personal files back to the new account.

Is there an update that will fix my Acer Spin 5? I swear these updates are garbage and making my laptop shut down for no reason.
