Could this be a virus?

I have been seeing very strange pop-ups that look like a virus after I watch a video in Youtube.

The latest incident occurred after I watched a short video. Without doing anything, this pop-up popped-up on my screen while flickering.

Is this a virus? How can I get rid of it? Computer has been behaving strangely, but so far nothing very serious (thank god), I can still do things, but now and then stuff happens (most annoying is when the keyboard stops responding).

The screenshot you shared is not a virus but it is a Windows feature and when you watch other videos or play music or video you will see this pop up if you minimize or switch to another Windows and it is to be able to control video when you are not on the page.

As for the problem with your keyboard, would you mind elaborate it in details?

That is not a windows feature, that is Google.

Btw, my computer has been a train wreck since I installed a new battery, I'm thinking it must have an undetected virus or something else broke.

It behaves very strangely and nothing is like it used to be. I can't play songs anymore, it plays the sound with bias. So many other things going on.

Any idea what I could try? I already scanned with incompetent windows defender, and it accuses nothing.

If you'd like your computer checked for malware, please share Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (FRST) logs.

https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/farbar-recovery-scan-tool/

  • If your computer language is not English, rename FRST64.exe to FRST64English.exe

  • Run FRST and press "Scan"

  • Two logs are created in the folder that FRST is run from, FRST.txt and Addition.txt

  • Upload the logs to OneDrive, Google Drive or any file sharing service and post the share link

Note: If you are downloading FRST with Edge, smartscreen will initially block it.

Click on the 3 dots next to the warning and select Keep-> Show more-> Keep anyway.

Thank you. I will do that. This goddamned virus is so freaking annoying.

Right now it's messing up my internet connection. Let me see if I can still manage to do what you said. t seems to be affecting every single function of the computer. It was designed to maximize annoyance I'm sure.

Btw While we are at it I have another question. I cloned a recovery partition from my single disk (disk 0), which is partitioned into C:\ (the OS), D:\ (my personal files) and E:\ (my recovery system image).

If I try to restore the system using the image in E:\ it doesn't work, it complains that E:\ is in the same disk as the operating system, which I didn't know wouldn't work.

So I cloned E:\ to a MicroSD card (disk 1). However, Windows doesn't like a system image on a MicroSD card. Is that right? Is it just because it's a MicroSD card? I know it's slow, but I thought it would work just the same.

With all the cracked software I can't tell what may be running on your system. There doesn't appear to be any malware. You can run the following fixlist and see if it makes any difference. As there's a KMS hack I can't provide any further assistance.

  • Download Fixlist.txt and save to the directory FRST64.exe is in

  • Run FRST and press 'Fix'

Thanks, I will try.

Also, the 2 packages I mentioned are not permanent on my computer. I plan to uninstall them very soon, I downloaded them for experimenting. (In fact I just did). I didn't even need Adobe pro actually, I only use the Reader (it's just that I don't like the latest version which is too heavy/slow). It doesn't hurt to do that and see if it helps too.

Any tips on my other question, btw? Thanks
