Hi Navjit,

Based on your minidumps, the error DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION (0x133) indicates that your system spent too much time at a high interrupt request level, which is often caused by an outdated or problematic driver.

The best solution to try first is updating your AMD chipset drivers and your motherboard’s BIOS firmware. These updates help ensure that your system’s drivers are optimized for handling high-priority tasks and can resolve issues where a driver might be causing prolonged DISPATCH_LEVEL execution.

Please download the latest drivers directly from AMD’s website and check MSI’s support page for any BIOS updates for your motherboard. After updating, monitor your system to see if the freezes and BSODs stop.

Hi Francisco, thanks for your reply.

I have updated the BIOS and the chipset driver but still i am facing freezes. I got BSOD one after updating, so uploading the minidump file again might show something else. New_Mini_Dump

Thanks

Navjit, based on the updated minidump analysis your system is still hitting a DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION even after updating your BIOS and AMD chipset drivers.

Given that Discord.exe appears in the crash stack, one strong possibility is that Discord’s in‐game overlay might be contributing to the issue by causing extended time at a high interrupt request level. I recommend temporarily disabling the Discord overlay to determine if it is interfering with system operations.

To do this, open Discord, navigate to its settings, then to the Overlay section and turn off the in-game overlay feature. After making this change, restart your computer and monitor if the freezes and BSODs recur.

Hi Najvit,

Hmm, one more thing you can try is to update your storage controller drivers and your SSD firmware. In many cases, especially with NVMe drives, an outdated or incompatible storage driver or firmware can cause prolonged execution at DISPATCH_LEVEL, triggering this error. Please check your SSD manufacturer's website for the latest NVMe or storage driver updates and any available firmware revisions, install them, and then test your system to see if the issue resolves.
