I recently bought a pair of wireless Zebronics headphones which came with a wire to connect it to the headphone port. Since the cable lacked a mic, I brought a new aux cord which had a in-line microphone to use. I connected it to the PC and the sound plays into the headphones, but Windows doesn't detect the in-line mic. There is no option to connect it in the Sound Settings and it only shows the default Realtek system microphone. No drivers were installed either. Both the headphones and the mic work perfectly on my phone but not on my PC. My PC also only has one headphone jack. What should I do?

Does your headset cable have 2 jack connectors P2 (two black or white lines) or a single jack connector P3 (three black or white lines)?
Let me know the specs of the aux cord you are using. Or send a photo of it.
Also, send a screenshot of your system information.
- Press "Windows + R", type msinfo32 and press Enter.
Maximize the window and use the shortcut "Windows + Shift + S" to use the screenshot tool.

There are dozens of different zebronics wireless headphones --- most have built-in microphones.
If your zebronics wireless headphones has a mic, then the mic may be in the ear cup, not in the zebronics cord.
When you plug anything into a single combo audio jack (that has combined headphone and mic icon), then the computer will ask you "which device did you plug in". Select "headset". That's it.
Lightly tap your mic in your ear cup (if you are using the zebronics cord and you have a mic on your ear cup) and see if any mic signal meter moves.
Lightly tap your in-line mic (if you are using that 3rd party cord) and see if any mic signal meter moves. If your wireless headphones have built-in mic in the ear cup, then read your manual to see how to disable that mic.
If any of the signal meter moves, then your mic is working. Most of the time, it is not a separate device.
If the computer doesn't ask you "which device did you plug in", then go to realtek hd audio manager or realtek audio console to select "headset".

You are connecting the P2 end on your headphone and the P3 end on your computer, right?
Usually, the Realtek audio driver comes with the Realtek Audio Manager or Realtek Audio Console, which is hidden in the system tray.
Open the Realtek Audio Manager/Console and look for your computer's connector settings. With the plug connected, click on the connector for the headset and specify that you have a headset connected.
