Hi Feliksas

Right click your Desktop, choose New - shortcut

Type cmd in the location box

Give the Shortcut a meaningful name

Then tight click the shortcut and choose Properties

Click Advanced, then check the box marked 'Run as Administrator'

Save and close the properties Dialog

If you double click that shortcut does a Command Prompt window open?

Hi,

Majority of Windows users will never need to open Command Prompt as administrator or elevated Command Prompt as many of the commands can be executed without the elevated Command Prompt.

In Windows 10, there are a bunch of ways to open Command Prompt as administrator or run elevated Command Prompt

This URL contains all methods in detail. Kindly do have a look in it.

Please let me know, if that helps.

Kind Regards:

I'm Greg, an installation specialist and 8 year Windows MVP, here to help you.

Type CMD in Start Search, right click result to Run as Admin.

If that doesn't help make sure you're running an Admin account in Settings > Accounts > Your Info.

Also check in Step 3 here you're account is set to Admin: https://www.windowscentral.com/how-change-user-...

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and let us know how it goes. I will keep working with you until it's resolved.
