changing the appearance of folders
Under help it says to select a folder, hit the properties button and a customize
button will appear. It doesn't.

1 Select a folder
2 Right-click & select Properties
3 The Properties dialog appears
4 Look in the Customise tab
5 Under the headings Folder pictures & Folder icons, you can select a picture or icon to appear in place of the default folder icon.
To keep the same icon but have it in a different colour, you'd need to make a copy of the icon & edit it in an Icon editor. [These are third-party utilities that you will need to search for on the internet. There used to be several free versions & no doubt still are.]

I use this software. https://www.folderico.com/
It changes the colors of folders and they look nice. It is easy to use too.
