Change user folder name in Windows 10

Hi,

I registered my Windows10 with a Microsoft account. Everything is working fine and I'm very happy. There is one little thing that makes mw crazy. My name is Enrico and Windows 10 has created my user folder with the name enric. I couldn't choose the name of this folder and I can't find how to change it.

Could you give me an advise how to change the name of this folder? I don't want to change my name :)

Hi, I am Van. I'm an Independent Advisor and a Windows user like you. I'll be glad to help you today.

It is by default if you make your Microsoft account as a user account on your Windows PC. The system will automatically create a user folder name that consists of the first 5 characters of your email address. We do not advise renaming the user folder. Because force renaming might result in system issues or data loss.

I suggest creating a local admin account and name the username Enrico. With this, the system will create your preferred username.
