Change the dpi resolution to 300 - Paint 3D

I need to change the dpi on a cover for a book. I need to raise it from 270 to 300. I have seen tutorials which show how to do this, but all involve opening two separate windows and copying.  I cannot find any way to do this on Paint 3d. There is no help function to ask.

Any ideas?

Hello AnnaRashbrook,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

The feature you are looking for is available on Paint application. You can change the dpi resolution of a picture by selecting Resize option from the top menu and change the Horizontal and Vertical aspect ratio. As a workaround, you can edit the image on Paint 3D by selecting an option ‘Edit with Paint 3D’, which moves the picture from Paint to Paint 3D app to make further changes.

However, the feature you’re looking for is a great one for Paint3D software. There may be other users with the similar requirements. As for now, this particular feature is unavailable. Hence, I suggest you to post a feedback in the Feedback Hub, so that our Developer team can have a look into it and include that in the future updates.

Thanks, but this hasn't helped. On both the crop and canvas menu, there is an option to resize, but only in pixels. The image is set at 1600x2500 for an ebook cover. Nowhere does it tell me what this means in dpi, I could be going backwards and forwards for hours trying to get it right. I don't have the other paint programme as I got 3d when I uploaded Windows 10. Any ideas how to do this?
