Change MBR to GPT without data loss

Hi,

I have multiple SSDs and external HDD connected to PC. All are MBR.

SSD with Win 10 installed have two partitions.

I wanted to upgrade to Win 11 and I have supported HW (check in PC Health utility) but I need to enable Secure Boot which I cant do because of MBR if I understood correctly. If not please correct me.

Since I have lot of data on pc obviously I would like to convert without data loss or corruption on either of disks.

I have 3 questions:

1. Is it possible to convert from MBR to GPT without data loss and preferably with native Windows/Microsoft tool?

2. Is it enough to convert only SSD containing Windows 10 or do I need to convert all disks?

3. Do I need to convert all partitions on disk containing Windows or is it enough to convert one partition with Windows files and leave the second as it is (MBR) in order to install Win 11 and not loose data?

I had a look at some guides but it is not clear to me.

If your system supports UEFI boot, please use Mbr2gpt via WinRE to convert to GPT without data loss. Backing up the data to an external drive is always a good idea, though.

Convert the OS disk to GPT. No need to convert the other disks.

convert without data loss

1. Is it possible to convert from MBR to GPT without data loss and preferably with native Windows/Microsoft tool?

Usually yes (exceptions occur)

2. Is it enough to convert only SSD containing Windows 10 or do I need to convert all disks?

Yes (only the Windows disk drive)

3. Do I need to convert all partitions on disk containing Windows or is it enough to convert one partition with Windows files and leave the second as it is (MBR) in order to install Win 11 and not loose data?

The disk drive will have either MBR or GPT architecture.

Converting the disk to GPT shouldn't affect the installed apps.
