Hi Hokie. I'm Greg, an installation specialist, 10 year Windows MVP, and Volunteer Guardian Moderator here to help you.

This is due to the Windows 10 installer not being able to connect to the Microsoft Account during install to port over the Display name you've set there, so it abbreviates the User folder name to the first five letters of the account email address. I escalated this to developers via forums and MVP channels years ago and finally heard back that it was not going to be changed.

However since then MVP Shawn Brink has provided a tutorial for how to change the folder name safely here:
