Cat walked across keyboard cursor frozen.

I've tried fn+3/5/8/9/11...I shut down disconnected cord pulled battery replaced battery rebooted no change. I tried system restore...no change

What now.?

I assume you mean Touchpad no longer works" when you write "keyboard cursor frozen". Correct? Does the mouse work?

Yes I suppose it could be the touchpad. I had that problem years ago and I know there's an easy fix for that. I think on my keypad the touchpad key is either f4 or f5 but I don't remember what to do about it

You need to examine the symbols that are printed in blue on your Function keys. One of them will toggle the touchpad when pressed in conjunction with the Fn key. You could also open the Control Panel with control.exe and click the mouse item. Now check if there are any touchpad controls.
