Cast to Device no longer working.

For over a year I have been downloading movies and casting them to my tv. My PC has always been able to see the other devices around it as well. About a week or 2 ago I tried to connect to wireless display to see if I could share my screen with my TV, didnt think it would work but wanted to see, and since then my computer wont locate any devices that are not hardwired in anymore. I have made sure network discover is on, updated all drivers, updated to newest windows, pretty much everything I could find online and nothing has fixed it. What can I do?

I have tried all of these things. The main issue from what I can tell is that my PC no longer sees any other devices that are not plugged in directly to it. I have a feeling that once I can get my PC to see the other devices again is when the cast to device will start working

That's why I gave you all of the fixes for wirelessly connecting PC to TV, a couple dozen that could not possible have been all tried or even read over in 27 minutes.

This is an interactive process. I give steps to perform, you do each one and then report back results until something works, so I know what to suggest next. If you need help performing any step, just ask back. But please do not skip any steps. We often find out the skipped step is the fix.

I did not skip any step. I went through all of those links and they were ones that I have already read over the past week and has not worked. That is why I am asking here to hopefully try something that I havent already. I will try anything except factory reset.

What is the version of WIndows 10 you have installed, check at Settings > System > About, scroll down.

If less than 21H2 Install the Media Creation Tool from this link http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/m... choosing Download Tool Now, install the tool, open it and choose Upgrade this PC Now. This will save your files and apps while bringing you up to the latest version by the most stable method. It will also bring all of your Updates current and solve most problems since it reinstalls Windows.

Then go into Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update to Check for Updates, expedite all Updates, including needed restarts, then go back and check again until no more are offered.

Next go into MS Store app > My Library in bottom left corner, then Get Updates until those are all installed.

Restart PC and try again.

If Cast to Device doesn't work try one of the other methods I gave you at the end of my first post. One of those will always work.
