can't send pictures through live mail

On June 21st I sent out pictures via live mail with no problem.  I am using Windows Essentials 2012 and I have my default email account imported into live mail.  Now when I try to send pictures they get stuck in the outbox.  I do not receive an error message, they just stay in the outbox and the message at the bottom says publishing album, but it doesn't go anywhere.  When I go into one drive, the pictures are there, but the recipient hasn't received them because it shows that they are stuck in the outbox.  Plus, they are not showing in my sent folder and I have it set to show sent messages.  I've checked my options and it all looks like they always have, so nothing was changed there. I've tried sending, then walking away for 20 minutes.  When I return they are still in outbox and message at bottom right says it's still publishing.  It's not even timing out on me. I have not changed anything on my computer and my last windows update was June 9.  I am using windows 7 64. Here is a list of how I do it and the fixes I have tried.

I go into my pictures, choose the pictures I want to send, then choose send to mail recipient.  When the box comes up, I choose attach, which then opens the live mail, and then I send.

I am always logged into my live ID when I do this and my name is displayed at top right.  I have always done it this way without issue.  I tried sending from within, so choosing add an attachment from within live mail and it still causes a problem.

I have tried sending different pictures with the same issue.  I have tried just sending one picture vs many and still it/they are stuck in the outbox.

I am able to send the pictures through one drive by choosing share then selecting the pictures.  It says that they have been sent.  Unfortunately, I really don't want to send them this way.

I have tried to send a different attachment (word document) and it works.  Also, I have no problem sending or receiving text messages.  I am only having problems sending pictures all of a sudden

I checked my firewall and nothing seems to be getting blocked.

I have tried doing a repair of windows essentials from add/remove and that didn't fix the problem.

Thanks in advance.

Jennifer

Jennifer, The problem is at Microsoft and not on your computer. (See this thread: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windowslive/forum/livemail-program/windows-live-mail-2012-will-not-complete/842276f6-36de-43aa-8f59-6cbd292524e4

It has been reported to MS and they are supposedly working on it.

In the meantime, there are a couple of things that you can do to send your pictures:

1.  Select 'Attach File' and then select the picture file that you want to send.

2. Use Outlook (in Microsoft Office) as your email program.

I have the very same problem as Jennifer. I could send pictures ok on June 14, 2015, but not on June 30.

Thanks

I too am having the same problem, July 3rd and now July 4th. Pictures are published, but never sent, just stay in the outbox and I end by clicking stop, and delete the message.

Al and Jennifer,

You are not alone.   As said above, the more of us who complain to Microsoft, the sooner Microsoft will fix the problem.
