In windows 10 when I turn my computer on I get the time and date screen then I hit a key to go to the login everything just gets slightly darker and the login box doesn't pop up and when I try booting I'm safe mode I get blue screened I've restarted a
bunch and have cut power completely but nothing's working
There could be a number of reasons for this type of issue to occur. As a first troubleshooting step, we can suggest using the command prompt from Windows 10 Boot Options menu to run bootrec commands. This is to check for broken or corrupted system
files and repair them as necessary. Here are the steps:
Try to force shut down your PC three times using the power button, until you get to the Windows Recovery Option.
Choose Troubleshoot > Advanced Options.
Select Command Prompt.
Enter the following commands in the Command Prompt:
bootrec.exe /rebuildbcd
bootrec.exe /fixmbr
bootrec.exe /fixboot
