cant get audio to play through hdmi

have tryed everything from bios options to re installing drivers updates ect hours of research all leading to a dead end please help

Very sorry to hear about your issues with hdmi. Please try following:

-Older or low quality cables may not be transmit audio properly. and make sure plugged into the correct HDMI port on your computer. Some HDMI ports may not support audio output.

-Going to Control Panel > Sound > Playback . check HDMI device is set as the default playback device. if not listed, right-click in the playback tab and select >Show Disabled Devices or >Show Disconnected Devices to see if it appear.Incase HDMI audio device is listed but disabled, right-click it and select >Enable.

-Retry updating drivers through Device Manager. Rightclick on the Start button- select Device Manager- find your audio output device under >Sound, video and game controllers, rightclick and select >Update driver. ...disabling the HDMI audio device and then reenabling it may resolve issues.

-Retry BIOS check for any settings related to HDMI audio output. Sometimes settings hidden under advanced options or might have been reset....save changes before exiting the BIOS/UEFI setup.

-Run Windows Audio Troubleshooter and it may fix
