Cannot use/reinstall fingerprint on my laptop.

I Have a Dell vostro 3560 notebook using windows 8.1 pro. But I cannot use fingerprint in my laptop, fingerprint work correct with windows 7.

I have driver fingerprint in Device Manager (I see it affter install windows 8.1), and I can't add new fingerprint code:

Then, I download this driver from Dell in windows 8.1 category, uninstall driver and install new driver, I can't install it. Then I have restart windows and get old driver of fingerprint (as like as picture 1).

I appreciate the efforts which you have put to try to resolve the issue. You could face this issue when there is a conflict with some other application with the driver. I would suggest you to boot your computer to Clean Boot state and then try to install the drivers.

 

Clean boot: To help troubleshoot error messages and other issues, you can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This kind of startup is known as a "clean boot." A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note: Please refer to the section: How to reset the computer to start as usual after troubleshooting with clean boot of the Kb article to boot the computer in normal startup after fixing the issue.

 

Once you boot the computer to Clean boot state click on the link given below and install the driver. You can also follow the steps given at the bottom of the link to install the driver.
