Over the past few days, I have been trying to run Windows Update to upgrade my new laptop to the latest versions. Whenever I run Windows Update, it gives me the "Checking for Updates..." dialog box, before telling me that Windows Update needs to install
new software with the "Install Now" button. I click this, wait for about 15 seconds, and then it slaps me with a "Windows could not search for new updates" box with an error code "800B0001". I have attempted running the updater from both my college campus,
and from home, with the same results.
Is there a fix out there for this? I can't run any updates if my updater isn't working...
