cannot search anymore my pdf files

Hello

since today my windows 10 is not able to search pdfs correctly. given a folder containing >1000 pdf files, I want to list all the files containing a given keyword within the document. I was able to do that until yesterday using windows explorer and typing the keyword in the searchbar. Now I'm not able to do that anymore as the search only find words and excel files containing a given keyword but not pdf files. I re-installed ifiler from adobe, deleted and reloaded the folder for indexed search (control panel, indexing options, advances) I also went on the task manager and made sure that Wsearch is running, however I'm still unable to visualise all the pdf files that contain a given keyword.

Can someone please help

thanks

Sergio

Hi Sergio,

In that case, I would suggest you Repair Windows 10 Using In-Place Upgrade.

Summary

If your Windows 10 installation is demonstrating unusual behavior such as built-in apps not working or launching, you can perform a repair upgrade to fix the problem. A repair upgrade is a process of installing Windows 10 over the existing installation of Windows 10 on your hard disk, using your installation Windows Media Creation Tool. Performing this can repair broken operating system files while preserving your personal files, settings and installed applications.
