Cannot login any Microsoft related apps on Windows 11(Xbox app, Microsoft Store, Sign in with MS account instead, etc)

When I try to login to Xbox app, Microsoft store or tie my Microsoft account with my local Windows account, I see login modal/popup appear and then disappears after a second. I tried everything, Reinstalled windows via Windows Update, repaired things via Command Prompt but still no luck. Any helps?

Screenshots of the action. I click Sign in and popup appears for a second then disappears back to default look.

**moved to Windows category: Issue is not limited on the apps but also on Windows account settings**

**moved from Gaming and Xbox / Store and subscriptions / Xbox Game Pass**

Hi, Orçun Ilbeyli.

Welcome to Microsoft support community.

We noticed you are having problem login to a lot of Microsoft related apps, right? This kind of behavior does seem very annoying and discouraging.

For better solving your problem, may I know:

When you say:  "Repaired things via Command Prompt but still no luck", what exactly have you tried in command prompt?

  • Have you updated the Windows or reinstall it?

  • You do not have problem visiting website in general, am I correct?

  • Can you tell if the current account you are using are local account or Microsoft account?

For now, I will suggest you try common fix for this kind of issue first:

  • Switch to another local account

Switch to another local account on your computer, this is to exclude the possibility that corrupt account profile (On your current account) might affect your system.

  • Select Start, select and hold (or right-click) the account name icon (or picture), then select Switch user. If you do not have another account, you could always add one under:

Start  > Settings  > Accounts ; just remember to choose the local account.

*If you experiencing any difficulty feel free to ask me.

While above solution might not solve your problem instantly, I hope at least it will help you; feel free to keep the situation updated so we could continue investigation. Looking forward about your reply.

Yes creating another local account works but I have to fix it with my current user. Too much things to backup and save. Regarding command prompts, I have done the following commands.

sfc /scannow

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:repairSource\install

Ok, sorry for the response delay.

At this stage, at least we could know that your are close to the resolve of your problem. I would suggest:

  • Log out those accounts from the Microsoft account.

  • Under Start , search Credential Manager; delete those credential about your Microsoft account, try if your problem is fixed.

Best Regards
