cannot connect to internet + firewall

I have been trying to connect a computer with the internet. This unit did connect in the past but I did not need internet access from it for awhile. Two other computers on my  home network connect with no problem. The new computer connects with my router, and my main computer sees the new one as part of my network, but the new one does not see the main one. Even when I connect the new unit to my cable modem directly, it will not connect to the internet.

I have gotten several error messages but the most frequent is that the connection cannot be made by HTTP, HTTPS, or FTP because of a firewall problem. I have taken the necessary steps to permit use of the associated ports (50, 443, 21) and even turned off the firewall entirely, but I get the same error message.

Hi,

1.        Have you made any software or hardware changes on your computer prior to this issue?

2.        What is the make & model of your computer?

3.        How are you connected to the computer? Is it wireless or directly to the router?

Let’s follow these methods & check if the issue persists:

Method 1

You may disable security software & firewall temporarily. Thereafter, check if the issue reoccurs.
