Cannot connect to 5GHz

Hello,

I have a hyper optic broadband which supports 5ghz, however i cannot seem to connect to it, only the 2.4ghz option shows up

I have the "realtek rtl8192ee wireless lan 802.11n pci-e nic" network adapter and was wondering if this was preventing me from connecting to 5GHz. If so, what steps should i do to solve the issue? (Change adapters? Delete Realtek and install a new one? - If so which one should i change to ?

Your WiFi network adapter only supports 2.4GHz band, you can change the WiFi adapter or buy an external USB Dual Band WiFi adapter.

Thank you for the information. Unfortunately, based on the specifications of your card, it can only support 2.4ghz. Your card's wireless frequency is : 2.412~2.472GHz

The only solution is for you to purchase an external network card (USB or PCIE) that supports 5ghz
