'Can not create output file' - Windows 10

I am trying to install a Canon MG2900 series printer using downloaded software from their website and keep getting the error message below. I have previously had this software installed on my computer but it stopped working, I have uninstalled the previous version and I am trying to install it new.

The error message I am getting is -

WinZip Self-Extractor

Can't create output file.

C>\Users\Name~1\App\Data\Local\Temp\win-mg2900-1_1-mcd\win\RES\CMS_LIB\DATA\IJLSX3.dll

Any assistance you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Thank you for posing in Microsoft community.

We understand your concern and will certainly assist you to solve it.

Please refer the below steps to troubleshoot:

1. Right click the file.

2. Select properties.

3. In the general tab, if an “unblock” button is present, click it.

4. Try now to run the program now.

5. Alternately, try running the program as an administrator and see if the issue persists.

I have tried everything suggested in your post and additional posts. I'm thinking of reinstalling windows 10 and all my apps to see if that works. Windows 10 is beginning to be a bit of a headache, I've run on windows 7&8 for ages and never had any dramas 😕
