Hi,

Can I use Windows 10 Home Edition in my workplace (for commercial use)? Or I must use Windows 10 Pro Edition?

Thank you for your reply! One more question, does Microsoft clearly stated in any of the license agreement of Windows 10 about this?

No not clearly stated but read this: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/Useterms/Retail/Windows/10/UseTerms_Retail_Windows_10_English.htm

Going to do some more research, will post back.

Nothing wrong with using it in a work place as long as it meets your needs. Of course, if your employer uses a Windows Server Domain and you need to access resources on the network, you will need to upgrade to Pro in order to access those business networking features.

You can try it first though and see how it works.

It's usually not possible to prove a negative.  Rather than "Where does it say it's OK?"  The question should be "Where does it say it's not OK?"  There is nothing that says it's not OK.

I checked both the License on my computer, the Internet and called the Microsoft store: http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msusa/en_US/DisplayHelpEULAPage

The Store confirmed that there are no limitations when using the Windows 10 Home version in a business environment. The EULA / License is the same for both Home and Pro. The only difference is the features (more extensive in Windows 10 Pro, some of witch may be useful in a business environment).

Hope this answers your question.

Quote from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/piracy/knowthefacts/licensing.aspx as of 8/1/2017:

When the license is intended for business use (except for academic institutions), the license that is acquired preinstalled or through a full package product must be a Windows Professional version.

It'd seem to imply that Windows Home can't be used in any commercial setting.

Could Microsoft experts comment on this?

I just called up Microsoft Poland about this, and the support lady said they get questions like this quite often and were told by management to say that it is fine to use Windows 10 Home for commercial use.

She couldn't explain why there's this bit to the contrary on their website (which I posted a few minutes ago).
