Can I upgrade a laptop from Windows Vista to windows 10?

I have a laptop I purchased many years ago with the Vista OS installed. The PC still works and I would like to upgrade to Windows 10 Home edition. Culd you please the me if it's possible? The laptop is an Ibuypower which I contacted the manufacture with the list of installed hardware and they said it is sufficient. I just need to know the correct Windows Disk (ieModel Number) to purchase.

No, you can't.

1. the free upgrade to 10 is finished and it was never for Vista anyway.

2. Microsoft does not even sell 10 since last year.

3. And forget about ?windows 11, as that is not compatible with computers that are 18 months or older prior to the release of 11.

And it did not come for free anyway.

I’m not looking to upgrade for free. I would like to buy a complete version of windows 10 and do a complete install. I just don’t know what to purchase. Everything that is available on sites like eBay has different version numbers and Microsoft doesn’t sell it anymore.

We can not recommend anywhere safe to buy 10 from.

Just adding a little detail to the good information you have already received:

Microsoft stopped selling Windows 10 on January 31, 2023. As you might imagine, it didn't take too long for any remaining legitimate copies of Windows 10 to be sold. That's why we say that, by now certainly, there is no safe place that we can recommend where you will find legitimate copies of Windows 10. What copies remain on places like Ebay are questionable, and likely illegitimate. They might even include malware.

No one said you were looking to upgrade for free. I'm sorry if we gave you that impression.

On top of everything else: Even if it were possible to find a legitimate copy of Windows 10, it isn't very likely that Windows 10 would have drivers for the hardware in a computer old enough to have been shipped with Windows Vista.
