Can I normalize a playlist in Windows Media Player Legacy?

I have Windows Media Player Legacy with Windows 11. I'm trying to figure out whether I can normalize the playlist. The playlist is from a variety of sources (from lps to cds to purchased mp3s) so levels are all over the place.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hi, my name is Kelly, and I'm an independent consultant and I'm here to help.

Unfortunately, Windows Media Player Legacy does not have a built-in feature to normalize a playlist. However, there are third-party software options available that can help you normalize the playlist, such as MP3Gain or foobar2000. These programs can analyze the volume levels of each track in the playlist and adjust them to a consistent level. Once you've normalized the tracks, you can add them back to your Windows Media Player Legacy playlist.
